Food Systems For Nutrition Innovation Lab

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab is committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in planning, decision-making, research, and all its work. As such, Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) in the FSN-IL consortium will play a prominent role in defining human and institutional capacity development (HICD) needs, planning activities, and implementing them in the U.S. and in focus countries. Drawing on such expertise and further supporting the growth and professional development of minorities and others historically underrepresented in international development, the FSN-IL is committed to nurturing broader perspectives, creativity, and institutional change.

Additionally, the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts – where the ME resides – prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion and seeks to prepare “leaders who are ready to address the effects that inequities have had on food, the environment, and the health of communities in the U.S. and around the world.” Read more about the Friedman School’s Commitment to DE&I here!
